This course will help you to increase your life skills and independence for further study and future aspirations.

Course content

You will enjoy working in small groups to develop these skills, in a friendly and supportive environment.

During the course, you will study some vocational subjects as well as having the opportunity to participate in community projects and community visits, and be part of a small enterprise activity.

You will also be able to improve your Maths, English and Computing skills in an environment that will develop your confidence.

What do I need?

A satisfactory interview to ensure individual needs are met.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through a combination of coursework and practical tasks.

Where can it take me?

You can progress to the Step Up to Life Skills Plus, Step Up to Work Skills or Foundation Studies courses.

You will be invited to attend an introductory ‘Welcome Week’ and assessment before starting your course.
