If you enjoy caring for others and see yourself as a future Nurse, Social Worker, Youth Worker, Teacher or Carer, then this may be the course to set you on a successful pathway.
You will complete a range of units, highlights of which include Advising Others on Healthy Lifestyles, Finding out about Health & Social Care Services to Meet Specific Needs, and Measuring Older Peoples’ Fitness Levels for Everyday Tasks.
A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is needed at the start of the course as you will be required to undertake a placement within a Health & Social Care setting.
Literacy and Numeracy test, plus a satisfactory interview and reference.
The course is assessed through coursework.
You can progress to Level 2 vocational courses, including Health & Social Care.
You could consider a junior position in the Health & Social Care sector such as Care Assistant, Support Worker or Nursery Assistant.
