Course content

You will explore digital systems and data through practical and applied learning. The course will help you build a broad understanding of digital technology and develop skills that will prepare you for further study in digital and technology-related subjects.

What do I need?

4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above, including English and Maths where achieved, or successful completion of a relevant Level 1 qualification. This course is suitable for students who have an interest in digital technology and want to develop their knowledge and skills before progressing to a Level 3 qualification.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through a combination of externally assessed and applied assessment. The detailed assessment arrangements will be confirmed in the final awarding body specification.

Where can it take me?

The Foundation Certificate is designed to support progression to further study at Level 3. Progression options can include V Levels, T Levels, A Levels and other Level 3 qualifications, depending on individual entry requirements.
