The Level 1 Digital and Media course is the perfect starting point for anyone looking for a career in these exciting industries. You will develop valuable skills such as problem solving, communication and research, whilst developing your knowledge of the Digital and Media industries.

Course content

Guided by experienced tutors, students gain hands-on experience, whilst developing their academic skills and knowledge of the Digital and Media industries. The program encourages experimentation, problem solving, critical thinking, and exploration. The course also includes creative elements, giving students the opportunity to develop ideas, plan and produce digital media content such as storyboards and short films, all while building confidence in creative thinking and expression. Projects will also allow students to develop broader skills in being organised, teamwork and communication.

All students will continue weekly studies of English and Maths (Functional Skills or GCSE) as part of the Programme of Study, at a relevant level.

What do I need?

You will need at least two GCSEs at Grade 2 or above including English and maths, plus complete a satisfactory interview.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed through coursework, which can include assessment methods such as observations, role plays, group activities, presentations and written reports.

Where can it take me?

You can progress to a Level 2 course, such as Digital Foundation T Level, Esports or Media.
