It is the study of how producers, consumers and government are making choices dealing with the scarcity of available resources. At the same time, if you are a curious nature, trying to find more about economic policies and government spending, international trade, taxes, inflation, the rising cost of living, than Economics is a great choice for you, that will definitely change your life, or the way you look at it.
Areas of study include:
5GCSEs: 2 at Grade 6 and 3 at Grade 5 or above, including 5 in Maths and English Language/ or Literature.
A level Economics is a ‘linear’ subject, assessed entirely by end-of-course exams.
Economics is a very well-regarded subject recognised by top universities as enabling you to excel in a wide variety of subjects, from Maths, History, Politics and Ethics to Geography, Sociology and Psychology.
A-Level Economics is a versatile subject that can help you in several careers, from professionals in big corporations, banks, or the government, but also could be a valuable support in careers related to marketing, finance, law, consultancy, international relations, politics, engineering, and journalism.
