We are offering a modern BTEC qualification to allow students to develop their confidence and skills within the field of computing. It is a 2-year program that covers a wide variety of challenging skills and knowledge.

Course content

The course develops the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary to professionally develop a wide variety of software, including website and games development. It also develops more theory-based skills around the key principles of computer science and project management. Along with hybrid skills such as cyber security and social media.

What do I need?

You will need to have achieved 5 grade 4’s, to include Maths and English.

How will I be assessed?

The course is primarily assessed through coursework, which is marked in house, as well as 2 written exams, and practical skills assessment completed under exam conditions that measure the skills learned throughout the qualification.

Where can it take me?

This course prepares students for employment in a digital industry or gives them the framework to progress to higher education, or an apprenticeship.
