If you are creative, this is the course for you. The Level 1 Art and Design course is a one year program that nurtures artistic abilities and develops creative potential.

Course content

Guided by experienced tutors, students gain hands-on experience and express ideas visually. The program encourages experimentation, critical thinking, and artistic exploration, establishing a solid foundation in art and design.

Projects will also develop your broader skills in being organised, team-work, communication and career planning.

All students will continue weekly studies of English and Maths (Functional Skills or GCSE) as part of the Programme of Study, at a relevant level.

What do I need?

You will require a Grade 2 in English and Maths, and a keen interest in Art and Design, alongside a successful interview. You will continue to study English and Maths at an appropriate level as part of your curriculum timetable.

How will I be assessed?

This course is assessed through coursework, which is internally assessed and externally verified.

Where can it take me?

You could progress to a range of Level 2 vocational courses including, Art & Design, Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography or Media.
